Family Law around Wollongong

The Court's Wollongong page places the registry on Level 1 of the Commonwealth Government Centre in the city centre, with a phone number of 1300 352 000 (read 25 September 2026). A divorce does not start there in person, though: the Court says applications for divorce "should be eFiled online using the Commonwealth Courts Portal online form", so the registry is for what comes after the filing rather than for the form itself.

Two other public services are listed for the city. The same Court page lists a family law duty lawyer line, 1800 551 589, and Wollongong among the four NSW family court locations it names, alongside Sydney, Newcastle and Parramatta. Legal Aid NSW's offices page lists an office in Wollongong, on (02) 4228 8299. Neither is a referral through this site; they are public services you can contact yourself.

Our Wollongong service area

Enquiries are taken from across the Wollongong council area and from Shellharbour to the south.

See all Family Law in Wollongong. We also work in North of the city the coverage runs through Corrimal and Woonona and on through Bulli, Thirroul and Austinmer at the far end of the northern beaches, west to Figtree, and south through Dapto, Albion Park and Warilla to Shellharbour. Those areas have no page of their own on this site and are served exactly the same way. This site does not rank or recommend any provider: it has no basis for calling one better than another and will not invent one..
