Where we work

Austinmer, Thirroul, Bulli, Woonona, Corrimal, Wollongong and Figtree sit in the Wollongong council area, along with Dapto to the south-west. Albion Park, Warilla and Shellharbour sit in the Shellharbour council area. The whole of it is the strip between the escarpment and the sea, which is about forty minutes end to end.

Two councils, and why that is the only boundary that matters here

Family law has no council dimension at all — there are no permits, no approvals and no local rules that change what happens. The councils appear on this page only because they are how this coast is actually divided, and because Shellharbour being its own council rather than a suburb of Wollongong is the reason it gets a page here and Dapto does not.

Why only two of the eleven have their own page

Because only two of them have anything published about them worth writing up. Of the ten firms competing for this market, eight name Wollongong and one names Shellharbour. Not one publishes a suburb list, only two run a location page of any kind, and not one of the ten names Austinmer, Thirroul, Bulli, Woonona, Corrimal, Figtree, Dapto, Albion Park or Warilla anywhere. Writing nine more pages about them would mean writing nine near-identical pages with nothing in them, and this site would rather say that than do it.
